Each summer we usually get a handful of Stag Beetles in the garden. We had a fly by whirring individual last Saturday evening and tonight we went one better with this large male found under the garden waste bin. In poor light I managed a few shots. Hopefully the hawk moths will appear soon. Last year we managed Lime, Privet and poplar in and around the house, so this year I am hoping for an Elephant Hawk Moth, oh and a few more Stag Beetles of course.
